Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi

On March 14, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Georgia Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi.

Ambassador F.Guliyev warmly greeted the UAE Ambassador at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and congratulated him on the successful beginning of the mission in Georgia. He presented to the guest descriptive information about the growing economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia, investments of Azerbaijani origin in Georgia, completed and prospective huge projects. It was noted that this economic cooperation plays a decisive role in the South Caucasus region. The attention of the UAE business circles to "green energy" projects and the realization of the Middle Corridor, in general, were appreciated as well, and views were exchanged on its rich potential.

Emphasizing the historical importance of the 2020 Victory, Ambassador F.Guliyev presented full information about the firm and constructive approach currently demonstrated by Azerbaijan. In this context, it was mentioned about the misinformation campaign conducted by the Republic of Armenia and some foreign forces trying to use it as a tool. The facts-based information that the action carried out by environmental activists on the Lachin-Khankandi road was in no way compatible with the so-called "blockade" has been conveyed.

Also, Ambassador F.Guliyev reported on the bloody terrorist act committed against the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran on January 27 and the incident with the military aircraft on March 11 that happened along the Azerbaijan-Iran borderline and spoke about the official position of the Azerbaijani State in this regard.

Expressing gratitude for the sincere reception, Ambassador Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi also emphasized that he was pleased to pay a courtesy visit to the Embassy of friendly Azerbaijan. He noted the role of Azerbaijan in the region, as well as the fact that it has become a visible actor regarding the current problems of humanity at the global level. He also noted that the country he represents shows great interest in cooperation with Azerbaijan. The interlocutor expressed confidence that he will cooperate closely with the Embassy of Azerbaijan within the framework of his responsible mission to Georgia.

At the same time, the parties exchanged views on the processes taking place in the context of new realities in the region and various issues related to them.
