Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev received the Head of the OSCE / ODIHR Election Observation Mission, Ambassador Albert Jónsson
On September 23, 2021, at the request of the vis-à-vis party, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev received the Head of the OSCE / ODIHR Election Observation Mission in Georgia, Ambassador Albert Jónsson.
Welcoming the guest at the Embassy of Azerbaijan, Ambassador F.Guliyev wished his counterpart who is originally from Iceland success in his current mission to Georgia. He noted in detail that the Azerbaijan – Georgia strategic partnership serves the well-being of both peoples and is a key impetus for sustainable development in the entire South Caucasus region. Saying that Georgia's stability and sustainable development fully meet the interests of Azerbaijan, Ambassador F.Guliyev briefed the guest on the Azerbaijan – Georgia strategic partnership, which contributes to the development of the South Caucasus.
During the meeting, Ambassador A.Jónsson spoke about the work done by the Mission since its deployment. He said that on Election Day, numerous members of the Mission would observe both in the capital, Tbilisi, and in all regions of Georgia, with the main goal being to ensure adherence to election procedures.
At the end of the meeting, Ambassador A.Jónsson once again expressed his gratitude for the reception at the Embassy of Azerbaijan within the framework of his meetings in Georgia and ensured of his sincere attitude for our country.
Ambassador F.Guliyev once again wished the guest success in fulfilling his current responsibilities as the Head of the OSCE / ODIHR Election Observation Mission.
