Webinar: The Great Leader's services in establishing Azerbaijan-Georgia relations
A webinar dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Tbilisi on December 11.
More than 70 community members and active compatriots took part in the webinar organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev spoke about the history of relations between the two countries, noting the great leader Heydar Aliyev's unparalleled contribution to raising our relations to the level of strategic partnership.
According to him, the great leader Heydar Aliyev tried to further develop the historical friendship of the Georgian and Azerbaijani peoples from the first years of his rule.
As a result of the joint efforts of our national leader and former President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze, the foundation has been laid for the development of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations in the conditions of friendship, cooperation and mutual security. After the signing of the Contract of the Century, which laid the foundation for Azerbaijan's new oil strategy, Georgia, home to hundreds of thousands of our compatriots, was chosen as the main route for the export of Azerbaijani oil to world markets thanks to Heydar Aliyev's foresight and insistence. has become a region.
It was noted that the course of solidarity initiated by the Great Leader for construction, development, opening to the international community, covering all social and political segments of society for national goals is being successfully continued by his political successor, President Ilham Aliyev. It was under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Southern Gas Corridor connecting the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum, TANAP and TAP pipelines, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway were implemented. "In short, we saw the result of the successful policy of President Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day Patriotic War, our hated enemy, the whole world witnessed the strength, power, political, economic and military development of the Azerbaijani state," he said.
The ambassador thanked Azerbaijanis for their support of the Azerbaijani Army in Georgia since the first days of the 44-day war.

It was noted in the speeches that modern, independent Azerbaijan, a masterpiece of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, has taken its rightful place in the world as a democratic, tolerant state with a strong economy and a powerful army.
