The award ceremony of the drawings and essays competition "The way leading to Independence - Azerbaijan-Georgia"
The drawing and essay contest "The way leading to Independence - Azerbaijan-Georgia" announced by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia in connection with the events of January 20 and April 9 has been summed up.
A meeting with the winners of the competition was held at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia on January 22, and awards were presented to them.
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandre Khvtisiashvili also attended the ceremony.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev spoke about the importance of the competition and thanked the participants. He spoke about the struggle of both peoples for independence, the history and consequences of the bloody events that took place on this path.
He said that both events, which resulted in the restoration of our independence, laid the foundation for the formation of national identity in Azerbaijan and Georgia. Independence gained through the blood of martyrs is eternal and irreversible.
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandre Khvtisiashvili thanked the Azerbaijani Embassy for organizing the competition.
The Deputy Minister said that the martyrs for state independence had shown great self-sacrifice, and their memory should be cherished and kept alive.
He congratulated the participants and winners of the competition, emphasizing that the organization of such events plays an important role in the growth of the young generation in the national spirit.
52 works in both nominations were submitted to the competition. The first three winners were awarded diplomas and prizes, all participants were thanked, and certificates were awarded for outstanding work.
