Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev visited J.Mammadguluzadeh's house-museum

It has been 115 years since the first issue of "Molla Nasraddin" magazine was published by the Azerbaijani great writer, playwright, publicist and public figure Jalil Mammadguluzadeh . The first issue of this magazine was published on 7 April 1906 in Tbilisi in the "Zeal" printing house.

It should be noted that on 11 October 1997 in Tbilisi, Georgia's capital. Mammadguluzadeh's house-museum was opened. Great figure Mirza Jalil lived in the building where the museum was located in the 1897-1918 and published the "Molla Nasraddin" during 1906-1918. Documents, photomaterials, copies of the magazine "Molla Nasraddin" reflecting the activity of the edibles in Tbilisi represented at the museum. The printing house "Zeal" was also located in the basement of this house. The building of this museum currently needs an emergency repair.

On the 07.04.2021 115th anniversary of the magazine "Molla Nasraddin", Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev visited J.Mammadguluzadeh's house-museum and stated that Georgia and Azerbaijan will raise the issue in order to combine efforts to mainly repair the building where the museum is located.
