A meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia Faig Guliyev and the head of BP in Georgia Aytan Hajiyeva

Ambassador F. Guliyev congratulating A.Hajiyeva on her new appointment, emphasized the importance of the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan holding high positions in large transmitting companies.

Ambassador stated that BP is one of the main partners of our country in oil and gas fields, including Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum oil and gas pipelines, as well as the obvious example of the long-term cooperation of the South Gas Corridor and noted that over the years there are strong cooperation relations between SOCAR and BP.

A at the meeting A.Hajiyeva shared information about BP's activities and future plans in Georgia. She said that this year is the 25th anniversary of BP's activity in Georgia and noticed that currently the company also encourages the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy in Georgia and the region.

At the meeting, the parties discussed business environment in Georgia, activities of Azerbaijani companies and their investments, especially the importance of the Azerbaijani Businessmen Association (AZEBI) activity in Georgia. During the conversation has been noted that the organization of common events with the participation of business circles of both countries, as well as the exchange of opinions on social projects carried out in Georgia by Azerbaijani companies.
