Ambassador Faig Guliyev held a meeting with the rector of Tbilisi State University Giorgi Sharvashidze

On April 2021, 21, a meeting was held between Ambassador Faig Guliyev and Rector of Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili.

The rector, who greeted the Ambassador at the beginning of the meeting, stated that he was delighted to see the Azerbaijani ambassador at the historic educational institution of Georgia's historic significance, and that the relations between the countries with strategic partners continue with rising pace in education as well.

The meeting also exchanged opinions on the development of cooperation relations between Baku State University and Tbilisi State University, and the importance of the implementation of mutual visits by rector s' rector.

The Rector stated that on November 2019, 26, the Baku State University was in our country to participate in the event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Baku State University, that Azerbaijan was thinking of development pace, and that Tbilisi State University was ready to cooperate with Azerbaijani universities.

The meeting discussed the establishment of the Faculty of Azerbaijani Language and Literature under the Tbilisi State University, as well as the establishment of the mentioned faculty will prevent the problem of personnel deficiency in Georgian Azerbaijani schools.

Ambassador thanked G. Sharvashidze for the great importance and support given to our country, he said that relations between Tbilisi State University and the Embassy will develop after this.

The Ambassador later got acquainted with the reconstruction and restoration works carried out at the Heydar Aliyev Center located at Tbilisi State University. The University administration said that repair works of the Center will be completed until the beginning of the next academic year.
